It’s Time To Take Over By Pastor Kevin Stephens 0

Isaiah 54:2-3

“Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.”

This promise does not tell you to BUY land!  It tells you to take over.

Take over…Take Over…Take Over

I have to drive this into your spirit today. The promise doesn’t even tell you to MOVE, It tells you to expand!  God is speaking GROWTH to you and your tribe. Yes, I said your tribe.  That means you and yours. Your family, those associated with you in the work that you do for the Lord.  For me and my wife that means our Pocket Parables Family and our Ready Faith Family.

Let’s look at Numbers 13:30-32

“And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it. But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we. And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.”

The men who brought the unfavorable report ended up not only dying themselves for their evil report, but they caused the people to completely miss their promised blessing.  The scripture says that they died specifically by a plague before the Lord.

The children of Israel had a habit of murmuring against God. Even after all of the displays of power, after all of the deliverances.  But let me say this, our rejection of what He says far outweighs theirs because we have the word of God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, past testimonies…. shall I go on?

Who is bringing you a bad report on the things God has promised in your life?  Is it others or is it you?

Their bad report said,

“Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness! And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt? And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt”

There fear was that they would fall by the sword. Many of us in this day fear weapons that are coming against us in many forms, but hasn’t God already addressed that?  The scripture says in Isaiah 54:17,

“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD”

The enemy in your land are your servants!  The giants in your land aren’t anything but gardeners, vine keepers and herders that maintain and protect YOUR herds from wild animals!

As I was telling Pastor Shari…Our amnesia is going kill us!  We live by the promises of God.  Our very hopes are encompassed and surrounded by the promises of God.  But when trials arise we forget.  When good times arise, we forget and settle for what’s in front of us.  We get amnesia, just like they did.  God already told them what was going to happen and how it would happen in Exodus 23:27-31

“I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.  And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee. I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.  By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land. And I will set thy bounds from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee.”

The weapons that form against us are formed for us!  He has already prepared a table before us in the presence of my enemies.  Expand, take you promised land, don’t draw back, don’t be afraid.  Wait for the full manifestation of your promise in safety and in faith.
